About This Item: This is a handmade solid Maple and Purple Heart Serving board with the maple showing signs of spalting. If you look closely in one of the photos the spalting takes on the form of a christmas tree with a star on top! This is the only one of it's kind, when it's gone it's gone. Our boards are sanded several times, pre-soaked to raise the grain, and sanded several more times to ensure that they will remain smooth after washing. Each board is given three coats with a food grade mineral oil followed by a single polishing with butcher block conditioner providing a long lasting food-safe cutting board.
